Huge Thanks and Personal Recommendation for Paul LeBaron Beginning in 20201, we worked closely with Paul to find a new San Juan Islands getaway. As luck would have it, we were far from the only ones looking for island property during the pandemic, which made things a challenge. Throughout our search, Paul showed and shared a deep level of knowledge and expertise about the islands, where to look and where to avoid, and offered a large number of personal contacts in the islands whenever we needed to seek additional expertise around water, septic, or building issues. Apart from his expertise, we found Paul’s greatest strength to be his patience. It is a very hot market, and we made offers and evaluated feasibility of building on multiple properties. Paul gave candid advice on each, and quickly cautioned us whenever the cost or feasibility might not make sense. Throughout our search, the inventory of available properties on the island was very low, but Paul’s efforts turned up options we could explore for a variety of off-market properties. His resourcefulness and contacts on the island led us to an off-market property on the west side of San Juan island that we fell in love with. Aer a bunch of research and very effective negotiating help from Paul with an out-of-state owner, we landed an accepted offer and a closed sale. It was a complex transaction covering multiple properties, but Paul’s work made it very simple for us. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend Paul to anyone who is shopping for a home or property in the San Juan Islands!
